The UK’s leading provider of Management Due Diligence, The Quinn Partnership, has advised Growth Capital Partners (GCP) on their stake in Gloucester based business, Advanced Insulation.

Advanced Insulation (AI) is a world-leading supplier of high performance insulation and fireproofing services to the offshore oil-and-gas industry and has seen its turnover grow from £3 million since a management buy out in 2008, to £20 million last year.

Andrew Bennion, Managing Director of Advanced Insulation, said the board decided to bring in a minority private-equity investor to help it convert current opportunities in the marketplace.

He explained: “GCP took a flexible and pragmatic approach throughout, taking time to understand the business. It funded the deal in its entirety, which it made simpler and more efficient.”

Partner Kirsty McDonald, who led the transaction on behalf of GCP also comments: “AI has developed a clear market leading position as an innovative problem solver to its clients and has huge potential for further expansion.

“This is the second investment from our current fund into the oil and gas sector and we recognise how well placed AI is in relation to market demand.
